CCR 1 outline

 CCR 1

Our film challenges conventions by showing 2 characters that are friends and have a seeming trust with each other, and have one betray the other on a deeper scale. But simply on the surface it is a man who gets out of rehab and believes that he is clean again, and goes with a friend, just for him to ultimately get drugged by that said friend. This can represent social groups by how everything seems to get along on the surface, but there could be other motives that another person is hiding, whether it's a dislike or envy of another person.

Product- Our product is a drama and coming of age movie of both Viktor (me) and Jeremyah (Keysean Jeremyah) as the characters. It goes through the day of both Viktor and jeremyah getting ready for a party. But Viktor has just gotten out of rehab from being an addict before, and Jeremyah is also clean, but does not have nearly as bad of a problem. On the surface there is a trust between them, and it seems that Jeremyah even cares for Viktors well being asking multiple times if it is good that they go. Ultimately, Jeremyah ends up roofing Viktors drink, causing him to blackout and wakeup in a daze.

Social Issue- This shows the problem with alcohol in today's society and if you are not careful about it, then it can take you down a dark road. Even if you are able to recover, just starting to go down that road can lead to more problems later on in life, and is easier for addiction to start again.

Research of Codes- I wouldn’t say we did really any research on it, but I have seen what alcohol can do to people firsthand and how it can ruin a life or two. And through friends that I have, I am worried about them going down that path of almost no return.

Casting- Viktor (me) and Jeremyah (Keysean Jeremyah)

Locations- My house, Jeremyahs house, The Ritz-Carleton

Props- Red solo cup, creatine for the druginfiniti q50 and infiniti g35

Makeup- No make up was done

Camerawork- Majority oit was done on a gimble, with a few handheld shots. It goes through a lot of different shots that we tried to capture. Like a high shot, low shot, wide pan, POV, and kind of like a blog shot.

Editing- The editing was pretty simple; it was just adding the clips together and making sure the audio matched what was going on when we reshot a couple of scenes. And there were also a couple of transition shots that we tried to make smoother in the editing process.

Lighting- We used a lot of natural lighting, as it worked well when we were filming. When in my room we had to use a flash because it was dark, and when I get drugged we had to use the TV as lighting for the party scene, and LEDs were in the background faintly as well.

Sound- In the midterm, our sound was completely off, so for the final I went back and fixed everything. Dialogue was clear and not muffled, background noises are present, but don’t override any scenes with it. The music is also at a good decibel, with it transitioning in and out whenever we had dialogue, vs scenes without it.

Storyboard- Starts at a beach scene pan, then a room pan, with me waking up and getting ready. Goes back to Jeremyah on the beach reading, with me finally getting ready, I call him and ask him to go to the party and cut him on the beach. Then it cuts to me already outside the party and Jeremyah pulling up. We walked together and then to the party. The scene of me getting drugged and then a hazy vision after.

Social issue- already addressed

Showcase- We tried to showcase how alcohol and bad decisions and lead a long line of consequences.
